Fun little place to get unique breakfast! Went twice while visiting Atlanta, based on our airbnb host (who is a local) recommendation. They have amazing stews (yes, for breakfast!) inspired by flavors and cuisines from all over the world. The owner is hilarious and has so much personality. Loved it and would come back if we visit again

Best place in midtown for breakfast or brunch. Came in for the Moroccan stew (one of the last items on menu we haven’t had) but switched to one of the daily dishes (Sicilian something 😀 [sorry Randy-as you explained it, it sounded so good that was all I remember of the name]). Luckily for me I took a quart of the stew home. My local favorite. Always leave satisfied but at same time can’t wait to come back.

Walking into Babs in Atlanta felt like coming home — but better, because the food and the energy were unmatched. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed like family. There’s just something special about this place — the warmth, the community, the soul in every dish.
I put my full faith in the owner, Randy, and he didn’t steer me wrong. Not only did he make me feel like a VIP, but he also introduced me to Tunisian Shamika, a dish I never expected… and now can’t live without. Rich, flavorful, and completely unique — just like the experience.
If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a warm hug and tastes like a five-star escape, Babs is it. Don’t just take my word for it — go feel it for yourself.

What an unforgettable breakfast experience at Babs in Midtown Atlanta! From the moment we walked in, the energy of this place was warm, welcoming, and full of personality. But what truly made it special was Randy, the owner.
Not only did Randy help us choose the perfect breakfast, but he also took the time to stop by our table to chat, check in, and make us feel like part of the family. He’s got such a magnetic personality—fun, kind, and just the right kind of quirky that makes a morning meal feel like a celebration.
The food was fantastic, but the hospitality? Off the charts. If you’re in Atlanta and want more than just a meal—if you want an experience—Babs is the spot. Thank you, Randy, for being such a bright light. We’ll be back for sure!

I have been to many quaint breakfast spots over many years and will NEVER come back here, NOR would I ever recommend to. Gastly overpriced for the quality of food. I mean come on, $63.00 for two people, seriously? The eggs were bland. Can you imagine dry, stale scrambled eggs. The food came out too quick and to me that seems like everything was cooked in high batches and just sitting in the back. The potatos were seasoned well but not cooked enough, they were too hard. The 1 sausage patty was fair. The bacon was limp and cold. The pumpkin waffle had very little pumpkin flavor. The old queen at the counter was overly assertive and wouldn't let you just order what you wanted. He was very abrupt and a little rude to be honest. He needs a lesson in good ole southern hospitality. The real banger is there are no prices on the menu. Why?? You have to pay before you eat... I mean who does that... And MY GOD the sticker shock. I would never have imagination a simple little breakfast like that costing two people $63.00. Please post your prices on the menu.. so it doesn't seem like you are changing people whatever you want. To any one else who may read this.. Go to Flying Biscuit.. you might have to wait in a line for a little while but believe me it truly is worth it. Flying Biscuit is undoubtedly much more superior to Bab's ... and so much more affordable, a much better value for your dollar. The one good thing is the service lady that works there.. Poor lady having to deal with that man at the counter, bless her. He even got confrontational with another customer while I was there.. over something about the restroom. Really??

This place is amazing!!! Everything we had was so good (love the shakshuka and coconut curry chickpeas in particular). The menu is super interesting and varied - not just standard brunch fare. Don't just order boring bacon and eggs. They also grow a ton of their own veggies, and make speciality butter and jams.
The guy behind the counter (who was also cooking) was so fun - he has a great personality. We also really liked that we were supporting an independent business. We will definitely be back next time we're in town; could not recommend this place more highly!!

Amazing menu, creative selections with incredible flavors. I have been going for years and have literally NEVER had a bad meal — always exceptional. Portions are generous and always just as good the next day to extend the enjoyment! Don’t forget your brunch cocktails either — the sake Bloody Mary is epic but my favorites are those with bubbles 🥰😋… Highly recommend!!!

The only thing better than the food was the service. It was like being taken care of by a thoughtful host. He recommended drinks based on our food choices and we tried drinks we wouldn't have otherwise. The food was amazing. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You have to know where you are going as this hidden gem is tucked in beside flashier venues. But definitely go.
